About Me

I am a first gen college graduate. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to pursue this rewarding and fulfilling career. I prefer not to define myself solely by my work. Though I love teaching and research, I also have many other interests. Outside of work, I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, gardening, and exploring new places. I am also an enthusiastic reader as well as a producer and consumer of arts and crafts. I've played sports all my life, including field hockey and lacrosse pre-college and soccer post-college and today. I also volunteer as a coach for my kiddos soccer and lacrosse teams. I love spending time with my family, which includes my husband, son, daughter, and our lazy cat, Hubert!
